Obituary of Johanna S. Daley

Johanna was born July 24, 1975 to Stephanie Chalupa Daley and Leo Daley. She attended Edison High School and graduated with the class of 1993. Johanna went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree from Douglass College, and her graduate degree in Social Work from Fordham University. Johanna worked for Trenton State Psychiatric Hospital as a social worker and Clinical Team Leader. She was also the Assistant Division Director for the Catastrophic Illness in Children Relief Fund. She worked for Rutgers University from 2007 through 2014 as an adjunct professor and a former program assistant in the School of Social Work. Johanna worked as a social worker in private practice since 2008, and achieved her dream of opening her own full-time practice in February of this year. Johanna is predeceased by her mother Stephanie Chalupa Daley. She is survived by her son Alex; father, Leo Daley; brothers, Peter Daley and Taylor Inderwies, and sister Alyse Spafford. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Johanna’s life on Friday, October 16th from 7-9pm and Saturday, October 17th from 9-11am at Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton Avenue, New Brunswick. Her final resting place will be alongside her mother at Lake Nelson Memorial Park in Piscataway.
