Obituary of Peter E. Flynn, Jr.
Peter Edward Flynn Jr. passed from this world on June 8, 2019. Peter was born in New Brunswick, NJ on August 11, 1959, the son of Peter and Dennalla (Wheeler) Flynn. He was well known in Edison as the third generation owner of Flynn’s Flowers and Fruit Baskets and an FTD Master Florist. Peter was defined by his Irish heritage, Catholic faith and devotion to the Blessed Mother. He was a baseball man, a lifelong Yankees fan and baseball coach. He loved being a father, cooking, reading, music, fishing and the Jersey Shore.
Peter was predeceased by his grandmother Dennalla Wheeler, his parents, Peter and Dennalla, Ana’s parents John and Lois Omundson and brother-in-law Al Goias. Peter will be lovingly remembered by his wife Ana (Omundson) and their sons Peter and Jack, his sisters Patti (Dan), Kathy, Eileen (Bob), his nephews and nieces Matthew, Alex, Kathleen, Bryan, Nell, Michael, Daniel, Paul, Lily and Nora, grandniece Mercy, his uncles Ed Wheeler and Patrick Wheeler along with many cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 from 4-7PM at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Matthew the Apostle Church in Edison on Wednesday at 9:30AM. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway.
