Don had a true heart of gold, and served his country and his community with exemplary dedication. He was a wonderful example of professionalism and family values, and inspired everyone he knew. He also inspired his family to join him in service. He was a true natural leader, wanting the best for everyone and was a personal example to me of how to lead with gravitas and caring. When he showed up at many 911 calls over the years, he brought an immediate calmness and confidence. He was always the Marine, and an inspiration to many of all ages. He saved many lives in our community. Don we thank you for your service , you were a wonderful Captain and leader, you made my life and many others the better for having known you. Godspeed, you are with Pat and Don Jr. again, your beloved Squad will take it from here, you taught us well.
