Dear Kathy and Family..
Please accept my sincere condolences on Ed's passing.. We met while at Consumers but I'm happy to say his impact on me has since, been lifelong. It continued professionally and also on softball teams, the golf course or just meeting for a drink. I'm very happy to have known him but so sorry to have to say goodbye. I wish all the Murphy's all the best during this time...

There is not enough room in this space to list all the memories with Murph. There were the infamous Fregosie Clinic parties, trips to Wildwood Crest, and the parties and card games at my Mom’s house in Boonton. In addition, there was parking cars at the Black Bull Restaurant where Murph would go and just hang out because he had no driver’s license. One night he asked if he could park a brand new Corvette and we said “yes”. Once in the car, he thought he was releasing the parking brake but instead he popped the hood with the owner of the car watching in horror.
When everyone went back to college, it left just me and Murph back home so I became his chauffeur. We made exotic trips to Cape Cod, the Jersey shore and even to New Hampshire (neither of us knew how to get there). Then there were the many weddings when we all got together and they were great.
Lastly when someone passes people say “he was a good guy”. In the case of Murph he was “a GREAT PERSON”. He will be missed by all that knew him especially for his laugh and whit. I personally will miss him as a GREAT friend who I will always remember. God Bless Kathy, his family, and the many friends he made over the years.
