Ruth Van Ness Ruth Van Ness of North Brunswick, New Jersey: November 14, 1934 – May 28, 2020. It is with great sadness that the family of Ruth Van Ness announce her passing on May 28, 2020 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 85. Ruth was a lifelong New Jersey resident. She was born in New Brunswick, and lived in Highland Park for many years before moving to North Brunswick 10 years ago. She worked for New Brunswick Scientific in Edison before retiring. Ruth was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who always put her family first and loved them all unconditionally. She will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved her. Surviving are her six children, Marlene Evans of Jamesburg, NJ, Patricia Clancy of Mount Laurel, NJ, Deborah Fertig of North Brunswick, NJ, James Coleman, Jr. of Highland Park, NJ, David Coleman and his wife Kimberly of Jacksonville, FL, and William Coleman and his wife Christine of Milltown, NJ; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and fur baby, Jerry. Private funeral services will be held with entombment at St. Peter’s Cemetery in New Brunswick. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Boylan Funeral Home, New Brunswick.
