Obituary of Earl Michael
Earl "Curly" L. Michael Sr. of Edison, passed away on January 11, 2016 at RWJUH after a brief illness. He was born in Hazelton PA on April 23, 1921. He graduated from Hazelton High School in 1939. He then joined the Army. During WWII he was stationed in Hawaii and was a survivor of the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941.
Earl married his high school sweetheart Fern Elmira Michael (nee Walters) October 24, 1944 and they moved to Edison NJ soon after. They enjoyed a very full life together. During their lifetime, they took many vacations, rode their motorcycles and enjoyed trips in their RV. They also shared a love of animals and had many cherished pets that they took with them on the road.
Earl had many occupations throughout his life. He worked at Tenneco Chemicals in Edison, Open Road Honda of Edison and then as a crossing guard for Edison Township retiring at last in 2005.
Earl was predeceased by his loving wife Fern in 2006. He is survived by and will be missed by his sister Patsy Anderson of Lancaster PA, his daughter Carol F. Feddersen of Raliegh NC, his son Earl L. Michael Jr and son's wife Marie of Georgetown DE.
Earl will also be missed by his grandchildren Sherri Sheehan, Anna Feddersen and Raymus Feddersen as well as his five great grandchildren Michael, Randi, Patrick, Yazmeen and Sami.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Friday January 15, 2016 from 5-8PM at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison. Cremation will be private.
