Obituary of Timothy Boylan
Timothy A. Boylan, 51, of Highland Park, passed away Sunday January 10, 2016. Born and raised in New Brunswick, he also resided in Philadelphia, PA for 10 years before returning to New Brunswick to run his family's business.
Mr. Boylan was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School in Metuchen, St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia and American Academy McCallister Institute of Funeral Service in New York City. He was an avid cyclist and loved the outdoors. He was caring and compassionate, two qualities that aided in his calling in funeral service where he was able to help families in the community through difficult times. Tim had a great sense of humor and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
He was predeceased by his parents Edward R. and Mary Boylan, as well as sisters Eileen and Mary Boylan. He is survived by his wife Aanika Boylan (née Brown) of Highland Park; his adored children Shane and Eliza Boylan both at home; his siblings and their spouses Moira Gillespie and Mark of Longwood, FL, E. Richard Boylan and Mary of Hillsborough, Joseph Boylan of New Brunswick, Virginia Hall and Darrin of Mission Viejo, CA, and Megan Sullivan and Tim of Metuchen; his 9 nieces and nephews; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 15, at 9:30 am at Boylan Funeral Home 188 Easton Avenue in New Brunswick, followed by a 10 am Mass at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church in New Brunswick. Private Cremation will follow. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 14, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
