You are the angel that brought Sonnie to my door that night years ago. When I opened that door I had no idea that standing there beside you would be the love of my life, the father of my children, my best friend and future husband. It's Tuesday August 11th. Home now wishing you were here. I keep expecting you to text me or walk through the door with those clunky work boots and your hoodie.
Why did you leave me, my only son. You always told me you would never live until you were old and I never believed you. So many conversations that have now turned to dust.
