Josephine Stockman Black of Fredricksburg, VA, died Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredricksburg; She was 84 years old. Born in Newark, she lived in Edison before moving to Fredricksburg 4 years ago. Mrs. Black was employed as an Office Manager at Johnson and Johnson in New Brunswick for 40 years retiring in 1996. She was predeceased by her husband, Alan Thompson Black, in 1996 and a daughter, Barbara Black, in 1990. She is survived by a son, Eric Black of Fredricksburg, VA, a sister, Mary Lou Pettipaw of Woodbridge and 2 grandchildren, Sean and Briana Black both of Fredricksburg, VA. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 30, at 10:30 a.m. from the Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison. Burial will follow in Clover Leaf Memorial Park in Woodbridge. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Saturday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home.
