Julia C. Cavanaugh, 88, died at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick on Friday, July 4, 2014. Born in New Brunswick, she was a lifelong resident of Edison. She worked for Johnson & Johnson in New Brunswick in the MIS Department for many years. She was a member of the Edison Senior Citizens. Julia was predeceased by her husband, Frank T. Cavanaugh; her parents, William and Mary Peters. She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Cavanaugh of NY and Maureen Cavanaugh/Foley of CA; her sister, Ruth Peters of Edison; and 2 grandchildren, Shannon and Ryan Foley. Funeral Services are Saturday, July 12th at 9:00 a.m., at the Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison, followed by a 9:30 a.m. mass at St. Matthew the Apostle R.C. Church in Edison; interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick. Family and friends may visit on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
