Elizabeth "Betty" Slizewski of Old Bridge died Friday May 2, 2014 at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 69 years old. Born in Jersey City, she lived in Edison before moving to Old Bridge over 30 years ago. She was employed as head cashier at St. Peter's University Hospital for more than 25 years, retiring in 2013. Betty was predeceased by her husband Donald. She is survived by two sisters, her twin Peggy Rush of Mickleton, NJ and MaryAnn Slizewski of Cinncinatti, OH. Also surviving are 4 nieces and 2 nephews. A memorial mass will be held Monday May 5, at St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church in Old Bridge at 10:15 am. Funeral services were under the direction of Boylan Funeral Home, New Brunswick. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Lupus Foundation of America.
