Lloyd A Vela, age 90, passed away on Saturday, May 11,2024 at The Delaney of Bridgewater, NJ. He was born and raised in New Brunswick and a lifelong resident. He worked for the family business for forty years, a printing company in New York City, Albert H. Vela Company. He was an active member of the New Brunswick Senior Center and a graduate of New Brunswick High School class of 1951. He was an organizer of class reunions for New Brunswick High School. He was a member of the New Brunswick Planning Board and The Board of Adjustment. After graduating from high school, Lloyd enlisted in the U.S. Navy being discharged in 1954 as an Aerographer’s Mate 2nd Class. He attended Rochester Institute of Technology, graduating in 1957. He was predeceased by his sister, Joan Christie. Lloyd is survived by his wife, Florence (Snediker) Vela; his daughters, Diane Nagy and her husband Stephen, Janet Allen and her husband Mark and Laura DiPaola and her husband Edward; along with his six grandchildren, Patrick DiPaola, Christopher, Kathryn and Meaghan Allen, Brian and Alex Nagy. Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton Avenue, New Brunswick. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Church, New Brunswick followed by burial at St Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick.
