Andrew (Andy) S. Majaros Jr., 90, of Edison, New Jersey, passed away peacefully early on the morning of May 3, 2024 at St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Visitation will be held at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Guardian Angels Church in Edison on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.. Burial will follow at Van Liew Cemetery in North Brunswick.
Andy was born in New Brunswick to Andrew S. Majaros Sr. and Helen (Suto) Majaros on October 11, 1933. He attended New Brunswick High School, and later, honorably served in the United States Army. He was stationed as Specialist-4 in Asmara, Africa from 1956 through 1958. Upon his return, Andy took on a long tenure at A.B. Chance Company where he ran the warehouse. Andy was an active parishioner at Guardian Angels Church in Edison for many years.
Andy’s pride and joy was his family. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of over 63 years, Peggy (Remsing) Majaros, with whom he enjoyed walks at Donaldson Park, spending time in Ocean Grove, making daily visits to Shoprite, and everything in between. Andy is also survived by his three children, Darlene Keri and her husband Christopher, of Middlesex, Andrew S. Majaros III and his wife Lynda, of Bradley Beach, and Joseph Majaros of Edison. Andy was a caring Poppy for four beloved grandchildren, Christopher Keri and his wife Leigh (Couture), of High Bridge, Andrew Majaros and his wife Kristin (Canario), of Manalapan, Anthony Keri and his fiancée Brittany (Notarangelo), of New Brunswick, and Miranda Majaros and her fiancée Bryan (Murillo), of Freehold. Additionally, Andy was a beloved Great-Poppy (GP) for his two great grandchildren, CJ And Lucas Keri.
Memorial donations may be made to Guardian Angels Church (37 Plainfield Avenue, Edison, NJ 08817) or St. Peter’s University Hospital (254 Easton Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ 08901). The family would like to especially thank the palliative care team of St. Peter’s for the care and compassion they afforded to Andrew.
