Thomas J Pizzaia of Edison, NJ passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was born October 5, 1958 to Virginia and Tullio Pizzaia, all proud members of The Church of Jesus Christ. In his younger years he enjoyed going on fishing trips with his friends on their boat ‘Bad Habit’. He rode motorcycles and often went on bike runs and camping trips. He worked, and retired, as a union laborer for Local 156 with his Uncle Norman Mantz who was the Labor Forman. After retirement he worked for Rutgers University as a machine operator. Tommy is predeceased by his parents, Virginia and Tullio Pizzaia. He is survived by his wife, Lisa; and their two children, daughter Rebecca and her husband Thomas Petrillo, and son Thomas Pizzaia Jr.; sister, Jeanne and her husband Steven Yahr; brother, Robert and his wife Linda Pizzaia. He was a Pop Pop to his grandchildren, Sadie Rose and Mia Grace Petrillo; and an uncle to many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Tank who he rescued from the Edison Animal shelter. Family and friends are invited to visit Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison on Monday, April 29, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to pay their respects.
