Catherine C. Chvostak, 97, of New Brunswick, passed away on April 4, 2024. She was born and raised in Hazleton, PA, a coal mining town, and was a resident of New Brunswick for over seventy years. Catherine enjoyed being a grandmother, gardening, bird watching, puzzling, floral arranging and had a good sense of humor with a sharp wit about her. She was a bookkeeper and a Girl Scout Leader. Catherine was predeceased by her husband, John Chvostak; her parents, George and Sophia Bunk; and eight siblings, Theresa, Mary, Josephine, Veronica, Victoria, John, Frank, and Stanley. She is survived by two daughters, Caroline Maddren and her husband Larry, and Donna Andrews and her husband Patrick; along with two granddaughters, Devyn and Tiffany Andrews; her brother-in-law, Frank Stipkovits; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton Avenue, New Brunswick. Funeral Services will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick. In lieu of flowers donations in Catherine’s memory can be made to, Gentle Giants Draft Horse Rescue, PAWS of Honor, or Cornell Lab of Ornithology.
