Robert B. “Bob” Bauer, 87, of Edison, passed away on Sunday March 24, 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Bob was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He served with the 82nd Airborne, and was a New York Steamfitter Local #638. He was also a private pilot with his own plane. Bob married Helen Straub in 1954. They had a daughter, Sandra in 1964 and moved to Edison in 1965. Their son, Bob “Howie” was born in 1966. Bob is predeceased by his wife, Helen; and his daughter, Sandra. He is survived by his son, Robert “Howie” Bauer; along with his grandchildren, Nicholas and Amanda Cirelli, all of whom he loved very much. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison. Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 29th at 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Metuchen.
