So sorry about Barbara. I found a scripture I like to share at JW.org, Acts 24:15, "there is going to be a resurrection," I wish your family the very best for the future.

I am Barbara's cousin. My mother was Uncle Art's sister, Violet Lauri Diamon. I only met Barb once, when we were very young. I have followed her illness on Facebook. I wish to express my sincere condolences to her family. I'm so sorry I never got to know her better.

Dearest sister, Barbara. My friend for 60 years. My mom for the majority of those 60 years. I think we had 2 arguments that lasted a hot minute. I loved spending time with you. I loved that our husbands went to bed hearing us game and woke hearing us game, for days at a time. And, they both knew how special we were to each other, allowing us "our" time. It has always been my pleasure to clear my calendar for you. I wish I were braver, stronger. I wish you could answer the phone. I wish we were chatting about the boat club, your activities, how much we love food, share child hood stories, how much we saved with coupons, beaches, scratch offs, our gardening, the plays we saw, the joy of our grandchildren, making our plans and life's joys. I love that I helped with your children and they grew to help me with mine. I love being Aunt Donna. It was never a contest between you and I, it was never "I did more." I didn't care if I lost every game we played. I enjoyed the "play." I enjoyed our friendship, that I miss so much already. You were the "card giving queen" for sure!! It's all changed. Everything changed too quickly. Say hello to the "Lauri Clan" who I am sure all have their arms wrapped around you. With, of course, Clarky, the love of your life. I'll always love you and will always miss you. You're leaving a hole in my heart that nobody will ever be able to fill. I'll continue to play moms number, no game I play will be more than a quarter bet and know, every time I see a butterfly, my heart with think of you. Rest in peace, my Virgo sister.
