Obituary of John A. Miller
John A. Miller, 90, of Edison, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024 at Village Point, Monroe Township. He was a line worker for General Motors and a maintenance mechanic for Rutgers University. He served his country in the Navy and was very involved with the Salvation Army. John was a member of the Moose Club and enjoyed bowling, playing horse shoes, doing word searches, watching game shows (Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune) and especially spending time with his family.
John was predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Marie Miller; as well as six of his siblings, Kathleen, Charles, Robert “Bobby”, Rose, Hun, and Janet. He is survived by his wife, Sally J. (West) Miller; children, Toni Poole and her husband Chuck, Tracy Stevko and her husband Kenny, John “Duke” Miller, Jr. and his partner Santo Trapani, and Jason Miller; brothers, Daniel Miller, Edward “Mick” Miller, Donald Miller, and Carl Miller; sister, Dorothy Long; along with his grandchildren, Chuckie, Dana, Sara, Emily, Max, Sam, Kyra, Alijah, Austin, and Jaxin; and great grandchildren, Luke, Ryan, Trey, Justin, Addie and Kane.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 12th at 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Clover Leaf Memorial Park.
