Catherine “Kitty” Bonanno, 93, of Piscataway, passed away on November 24, 2023 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Catherine was born in Bloomfield to the late Guerrino and Sofia Petrucci of Ascoli Piceno, Marche, Italy. She graduated from Highland Park High School, worked in business and in real estate and then went on to work for Colgate-Palmolive, Piscataway until her retirement. Kitty was a longtime member of the Rosary Altar Society at St. Matthew the Apostle, Edison, and a dedicated member of the Legion of Mary Auxiliary. Kitty was predeceased by her husband, Jerome “Jerry” Bonanno, World War II veteran; brothers, Frank and Dario Petrucci; sisters, Theresa Trenta and Marie Suriano; and her son-in-law, Jeffrey Geist. She is survived by her children, Jerry Bonanno and Karen Geist; sister-in-law, Francine Petrucci; along with her grandchildren, Jeffrey Geist, Jonathan Geist, Justin Geist and Morgan Bonanno. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, December 7th at 9:30 a.m. at St. Matthew the Apostle Church, Edison. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to the Rosary Altar Society at St. Matthew the Apostle Church, Edison.
