George Lovas, 74, of Carteret, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at home. George served his country in the United States Navy as a medic. He later worked in the assembly department at General Motors in Linden. George was an avid sports fan, especially football and baseball and loved watching Westerns on TV. George was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen Lovas in 2021; and his parents, Joseph and Anna Lovas. He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Lovas; a brother, Joseph Lovas; and a sister, Jo Ann Platt. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Friday, July 22, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison. A Funeral Service will be offered during the visiting hours. Cremation is private.
