On Tuesday, June 21, 2022, Peter John Hackett (PJ, Pete, Hack), loving father, son, brother and friend, passed away at the age of 42 after a brief illness. Peter was born on November 6, 1979 in Edison, NJ. He graduated from Edison High School in 1997 and went on to earn a Bachelors in Information Technology from DeVry University. For the past 15 years, Pete worked for SHI International in Somerset, NJ. PJ loved all things sports and sports related; one would be hard pressed to meet someone with as much sports knowledge. He was a dedicated Arizona Cardinals and NY Yankees fan, and owned a plethora of apparel in support of his teams. Naturally outgoing and personable, Pete could, and would, strike up a conversation with anyone and often made friends out of perfect strangers. Pete is survived by his parents, Peter F and Judith; daughter, Mallory; sisters, Christy (Kenny), Colleen (Dean) and Bridy; multiple nieces and nephews; and a wonderful group of close friends. The family has decided that no formal services will be held. A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date.
