Terry L. Fugate, 77, of Edison, NJ, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at his home. He was born in Jenkins, KY to the late Oddis and Hester (Vanover) Fugate. Terry was a proud Army veteran who served his country while stationed in Berlin, Germany. After leaving the Army, he came to New Jersey where he went to work as a driver and later a paint inspector for General Motors in Linden, NJ, from which he retired from. He loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed watching sports and was a dedicated Dallas Cowboy, and NASCAR racing fan. He loved to garden vegetables in the summer, play the lottery, watch Westerns, and was an avid reader. He enjoyed taking trips to visit his hometown in the mountains. He also loved going on fishing trips with his best friends. Terry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to all who knew and loved him. He is predeceased by his brother, Gregory Fugate. He leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years, Arlene (Burta) Fugate; son, Terry Fugate and his wife Tina; daughter, Michele Seidorf; brothers, Stephen and Barry Fugate; sisters, Charlene Misak, Chrystal Garson and Johanna Wantoch; along with his grandchildren, Devin, Gabriella, Logan, Jenna and Mikayla; and nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison. Funeral Services will be held during the Visitation. Cremation will be private.
