Obituary of Mary Lou T. Langan
Mary Lou T. Langan, 68, of Edison, passed away on Thursday December 2, 2021 at JFK Medical Center, Edison. Mary Lou was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family fiercely and was well known for her caring, generous heart. She was a registered nurse for 14 years at JFK Medical Center. Mary Lou was a life member of the Edison First Aid Squad #1. She was always active in her kids’ activities such as being an Edison High School Band Parent, and a Den Leader for Cub Scout Pack 122. She was a member of the St. Mary’s of Ostrabrama and St. Matthew’s Choirs. Mary Lou was also known as “The crafty lady”, she sold her silk flowers and creations at craft shows around the community for many years. Everyone who knew Mary Lou loved her and will miss her dearly.
Mary Lou was predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Mary Bodak. She is survived by her husband and best friend of 47 years, Martin Jr.; her children and their spouses, Maryellen and Jason, Martin III and Elaine, Stephanie and David, Timothy and April; a brother, Robert Bodak and his wife Debra; sister, Patricia Cumming and her husband Richard; along with her grandchildren, Mikayla, Giovanni, Adrianna, Justin, Kaitlyn, Marco, Jaxon, Madison, Korey, Hailianna; her great granddaughter, Amelia; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 10th at 9:30 a.m. at St. Matthew the Apostle Church, Edison. Cremation will be private.
