Fred Russell, age 81, of Edison passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at his home. He was born and raised in Newark, served in the Coast Guard and worked his entire career for AT&T/Lucent in Holmdel, NJ. Fred was predeceased by his parents, Wilbur and Jean; and his sister, Judy. He is survived by his wife, Joanne of Edison; his three sons, Kenneth and his wife Ashlee of Dacula, Georgia, Robert and his wife Suzanne of Monroe Township, New Jersey, and Fred Jr. and his wife Linda of Monroe Township, New Jersey. He also leaves his ten grand-children, Kaitlynn, Julia, Kyleigh, Kamron, Ian, Patrick, Isabella, Michael, Daniel and Drew; and his four great-grand-children, Adrian, Noah, Valen and Cassian. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Monday, November 1, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison, New Jersey. A Funeral Mass will be held at Guardian Angels Church, 37 Plainfield Avenue in Edison, on November 2, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with Entombment following at Resurrection Cemetery, 899 E Lincoln Avenue in Piscataway.
